Welcome to Your Swim Academy. We are thrilled to have you join our swimming family and embark on a journey of aquatic fun, skill development, and water safety.
Here’s what to expect on your first visit:
Our friendly team at the main reception will give you a brief orientation of the facilities and any essential information you might need.
You will also be provided with a welcome pack, which includes our awards sticker book so you can mark off all your child’s achievements while following the swim school pathway.
Please note that all certificates can be purchased from the main reception and range from £2.25 to £3.75 per certificate.
We use an online swimmer tracker programme that allows you and teachers to track your child’s progress within each class.
Each parent can log onto this system from home and see where their child is within the badge criteria.
Please allow time for your teacher to track the skills and give your child time to perfect them before being assessed.
To confirm, your swimming lesson payment will be automatically debited from your designated bank account on the 1st of each month; you can cancel your direct debit at any time by giving one calendar month’s notice (counted from the following direct debit date).
Any cancellation must be in writing to (Site specific emails). Your cancellation will not take effect until we acknowledge receipt of your cancellation notice.
Please note: If you are booked into a parent-toddler lesson or an SEN Class, parents are required to be in the water with their child.
All our children in our swim academy programme also benefit from free swimming access at all our swimming pools, including the Barnsley Metrodome Waterpark; please note if you want to use the free swim for the Barnsley Metrodome Waterpark, all tickets need to be booked in advance on the Barnsley Metrodome Waterpark website.
