Everything you need to know about the temporary closure, your membership and how you can stay active while these important improvements take place.
Your Space Worksop will be temporarily closed from Saturday 17 October, with a planned reopening on Monday 16 November.
The entire centre will be closed during this period, including the gym, swimming pool, fitness classes, Swim Academy lessons and all other activities.
We appreciate that this will cause some disruption, but the closure is needed so several major improvements can be completed as part of a £3M+ Public Sector Decarbonisation Project, delivered in partnership with Bassetlaw District Council.
These works will significantly improve the building’s energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and help create a more sustainable facility for the future.
During the closure, several major upgrades will be installed across the centre, including:
Collectively, these improvements are expected to save hundreds of thousands of kilowatt hours of energy each year and significantly reduce the centre’s carbon footprint.
Your membership will remain active throughout the temporary closure.
To recognise the disruption, monthly members will not have a December membership payment collected.
Members who have paid for an annual membership will have one additional month added to the end of their membership at no extra cost.
You do not need to do anything. These arrangements will be applied automatically.
While Your Space Worksop is temporarily closed, your membership will continue to give you access to all Your Space locations.
This also applies to members who normally have a single-site Worksop membership. No changes to your membership are required — simply scan in as normal when you visit.
Our nearest alternative centres are Your Space Bircotes, Your Space Retford and Your Space Mansfield.
You are welcome to use the facilities, gym spaces and fitness classes available at other Your Space centres, subject to normal timetables, booking requirements and site admission rules.
Please check the relevant centre information and timetable before travelling.
Continue your routine with access to the gym, classes and swimming facilities available at Bircotes.
Visit Your Space Retford for gym, fitness classes and swimming options during the closure.
Keep active with access to the facilities available at Your Space Mansfield.
Swim Academy lessons will not run at Your Space Worksop while the centre is temporarily closed.
Your November Swim Academy payment will not be collected.
This will happen automatically, so you do not need to contact us or make any changes to your account.
During the closure, Swim Academy members can continue to access family swimming at Your Space Bircotes and Your Space Retford, in line with normal timetables, membership conditions and site admission rules.
Please check swimming timetables and availability at the relevant centre before travelling.
