Every junior member completes an induction before using the gym, helping them understand the equipment and train safely.
Junior members can enjoy suitable fitness classes, subject to the timetable, age guidance and availability.
Swimming is included at Metrodome, subject to the pool timetable, session availability and local admission rules.
Eligible junior members aged 14+ can work towards supervised free-weight access through additional training and assessment.
Junior members can attend supervised Junior Gym sessions alone, or train with an adult during Parent & Junior sessions.
Junior members aged 11+ may attend supervised sessions without a parent or guardian.
Junior members must attend with a parent or guardian aged 18+. A maximum ratio of one parent or guardian to two junior members applies.
Supervised Junior Gym sessions must be booked through Mywellness. Junior members can book a maximum of one hour per visit.
A joint induction is required for Parent & Junior sessions. Both the parent or guardian and junior member must attend the induction with a fitness instructor.
Junior gym access is based on age, completed inductions and suitable equipment use.

Junior members cannot use free weights as part of their standard gym access, including during Parent & Junior sessions.
The Metrodome free-weight programme is available to eligible junior members aged 14 and over.
Junior members must complete two days of training followed by an assessment with a fitness instructor.
Once signed off, free weights may only be used during supervised Junior Gym sessions.
Free weights cannot be used during Parent & Junior sessions, even after the programme has been completed. Please ask the fitness team or speak to reception for more information.
Every junior member must complete an induction before using the gym. Inductions are available throughout the week.
A fitness instructor will explain the gym layout, age-related access and how to use suitable equipment safely.
Parent & Junior access requires both the adult and junior member to complete a joint induction.
Existing juniors who want to use Parent & Junior sessions must complete the required consent form and joint induction.
Junior members can take part in selected suitable fitness classes, subject to the current timetable, age guidance and availability.

An upbeat dance-based class designed to get everyone moving and enjoying the music.
A supportive class combining movement, balance, breathing and flexibility.

A full-body toning class with a focus on the lower body and core.
Under-16s cannot take part in Les Mills classes. All junior class access remains subject to the current timetable, instructor guidance, age suitability and availability.

Junior members aged 11+ can attend supervised Junior Gym sessions independently after completing their induction.
Yes. Supervised Junior Gym sessions must be booked through Mywellness, with a maximum booking length of one hour per visit.
Yes. Parent & Junior sessions allow a parent or guardian aged 18+ to train with the junior member during the specified times.
A maximum ratio of one parent or guardian to two junior members applies during Parent & Junior sessions.

Standard Junior Membership access does not include free weights. Eligible members aged 14+ can gain supervised access after completing two days of training, passing an assessment and receiving instructor sign-off.
No. Even after completing the free-weight programme, junior members may only use free weights during supervised Junior Gym sessions.
Yes. Junior members can attend selected suitable classes, subject to the timetable, age guidance, instructor guidance and availability. Under-16s cannot attend Les Mills classes.
Yes. Junior members can use the swimming facilities, subject to the pool timetable, session availability and local admission rules.
No. Junior Membership is flexible, with no joining fee and no long-term contract.
